General Summary:  

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting student health and learning through quality food service. Team members must demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a commitment to providing excellent service in a school environment.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• A role model who demonstrates respect for the job and the school community
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with strong communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to support team efforts and assist where needed. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy boxes up to 50 pounds

 

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to make decisions in compliance with State and USDA regulations
• Familiarity with County Health Department regulations. ServSafe Certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Proficiency in food preparation, service, and cleanup duties
• Ability to operate a computerized cash register, handle money, and make accurate change
• Basic computer skills, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Excel, and Word

 

Other Job Responsibilities:

• Other duties as assigned by the Building Food Service Manager or Food Service Director

 

Terms of Employment:

• As described in the Northview Public Schools Food Service contractual agreement.
• Work Hours: 10:45 am - 1 pm Monday -Friday following the school calendar

 

Evaluation:

• Annual evaluation performed by the Food Service Director using the evaluation rubric as identified in the Food Service contractual agreement.
